The Book Doctor's Report and Recommendation
R40 per page, double spacing
Whether you’ve completed a first draft of a novel, or got stuck halfway through, this is the feedback service for you. Send us the first 50 pages of your book (double spacing), plus a synopsis of the rest of the plot (including the end), and the Book Doctor will revert with a professional 5-8 page report, providing detailed feedback and advice on all the aspects of your manuscript: everything from plotline to spelling. We conclude with an independent opinion on whether the work is commercially viable or not. As an added bonus – if our opinion is that the work is immediately eligible for publishing – we will include a personalised letter of recommendation on our company letterhead, highlighting what we regard as the strengths of the manuscript. This could be included as part of your submission to any publisher. If you require more than 50 pages to be read and reviewed, we charge a nominal reading fee of R3 for every page over 50. However, the size of the report remains the same.
