I’ve written stories for many years, and toyed with the idea of writing a novel for almost as long, but I’ve always doubted my abilities. Morne’s course has been both a validation and a unique learning experience for me. I’ve learned that I do indeed have the ability to tell a story, and from this course I’ve learned how to make my writing the best it can be.

The HeadSpark Shortcuts course content provided valuable tools to equip any aspiring writer. Morné is an inspiring course facilitator. He knows the process with its pitfalls and rewards and makes it look effortless; but emphasise the hard work all writers have to do.

Unlike many courses and workshops in the creative writing and authorial sphere, this one definitely over-delivered on its promise and I came away feeling that I had been allowed to sneak under the curtain of the hushed publishing world and see some of its internal workings.

Ek was maar skepties omtrent híérdie kursus. Daar is soveel 'scams' wat die rondte doen. Maar ek het hulp nodig gehad. Ek het oë toegeknyp en ingeskryf.
Na die eerste twee oefeninge het ek al besef dat dat ek nie my tyd en geld gemors het nie. Die kursus is logies uiteengesit. Punt vir belangrike punt word verduidelik en opgevolg met 'n oefening waarin dit wat geleer is, gebruik moet word.

“Baie dankie vir jou deeglike en baie positiewe kommentaar. Ek het maar onlangs eers weer moed bymekaargekry om die pen weer op te neem. So, ek wil jou graag eers opreg geluksê met jou slag met die kommentaar. Ek dink meer mense soos jy sou baie goeie gevolge kon teweegbring! Jy het wat ek die meeste waardeer in mense, ‘n baie positiewe lewensbenadering.”
